The National Council for Road Safety announced that steps are being taken to make monthly quality inspections of passenger transport vehicles a legal requirement.
Chairman Manjula Kularatne said the regulation is expected to come into effect from January 1, aiming to enhance passenger safety and ensure proper maintenance of public transport vehicles.
