Lanka Kahatagaha Graphite Limited has contributed Rs. 7.4 million in dividends to the Treasury, marking its first such payment in 14 years.
The cheque was handed over by the company’s Chairman, P.V.A. Hemalal, to Minister of Labour and Deputy Minister of Economic Development Anil Jayantha and Secretary to the Ministry of Finance Dr. Harshana Suriyapperuma in Parliament today (07).
Officials said the contribution is part of the Rs. 757.4 million total dividend remitted from enterprises under the Ministry of Industries and Entrepreneurship Development.
