The “Shiva Gangi” Shipping Company has announced that it will operate a daily passenger ferry service between India and Kankesanthurai (KKS) from October 8 to 28 in celebration of the Deepavali festival.
Company’s Sri Lanka Director, K.M. Jeyaseelan, said the service, which had not previously been operated on a daily basis, has been arranged to meet the increased demand during the festive period.
He further said that a duty-free shopping complex will also be opened in connection with the service, providing additional convenience for passengers traveling between India and Jaffna during Deepavali.
