Officers from the Moratuwa Police Special Task Force (STF) have arrested two individuals in the Bokundara area of Piliyandala with over two kilograms of heroin.
The two were arrested during a raid conducted by the STF.
Police said that they were also found in possession of 02 kilograms and 106 grams of heroin, 478 grams of ice and a motorcycle reportedly used to transport drugs.
According to the police, the arrested individuals are ‘Kalubowila Chuti’, a key henchman of ‘Kalubowila Avishka’, a notorious underworld criminal and drug trafficker hiding abroad, and his elder brother.
The suspects, aged 24 and 25, have been identified as residents of the Piliyandala area.
The suspects and the items have been handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) for further investigation.
