Two suspects have been arrested in the Bokundara area of Piliyandala with a large stockpile of heroin and crystal methamphetamine (‘ice’), following a special raid conducted by the Moratuwa Police Special Task Force (STF).
According to police, the STF officers seized 2.106 kilograms of heroin, 478 grams of ‘ice’, and a motorcycle believed to have been used to transport the drugs during the operation.
One of the arrested suspects has been identified as “Kalubowila Chuti”, a close associate of “Kalubowila Avishka”, an organized criminal and drug trafficker currently hiding in a foreign country. The other suspect is his elder brother.
The two suspects, aged 24 and 25, are residents of the Piliyandala area. They have been handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) for further investigations.
