The Mount Lavinia Divisional Criminal Investigation Bureau has arrested the motorcycle rider suspected of attempting to shoot a person near the Dehiwala railway station on July 18.
Police said the suspect was taken into custody near the Dehiwala bus stand yesterday (03) evening. During the arrest, officers recovered 50 grams of crystal methamphetamine (“ice”), five swords, and a dagger in his possession.
The 34-year-old suspect is a resident of Seevali Road, Mount Lavinia.
Further investigations into the incident are being carried out by the Mount Lavinia Police.
