The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) has extended the registration period for qualified workers seeking employment in Israel’s construction sector renovation sub-category by two additional days.

Applications are now accepted for General Renovation Work, Ceramic Tiling Work, and Plastering Work through the SLBFE website (www.slbfe.lk) from October 3 until 9.00 a.m. on October 7.

Eligible applicants must be male, aged between 25 and 45, with relevant work experience. They should not have previously worked in Israel, nor have relatives employed or residing there. A valid passport with at least three years’ validity is mandatory.

Applicants must also be physically and mentally fit to work under Israel’s climate, free from chronic or communicable diseases, and possess a clear police clearance record. A minimum of 10 years of school education and basic English knowledge are also required.

Those who succeed will receive a 63-month employment contract with a monthly salary of USD 1,520 plus overtime.

The SLBFE stressed that the entire selection process—including registration, interviews, skills testing, and the lottery method—will be conducted officially, and warned applicants not to pay money to any individuals in connection with this recruitment.
