Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sathish Gamage, who was arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC), has been granted bail.
Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanka S. Bodaragama issued the order after reviewing submissions from CIABOC officials and the suspect’s legal representatives.
SSP Gamage was released on a cash bail of Rs. 100,000 and two surety bails of Rs. 2 million each. The Magistrate also barred him from traveling abroad.
The case is scheduled to be heard again in January 2026.
