President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has departed for Japan following the successful completion of his visit to the United States, where he attended the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

According to the President’s Media Division (PMD), he left New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport last night (September 25).

The President is scheduled to undertake an official visit to Japan from September 27 to 30 at the invitation of the Japanese government.
