Seven monks lost their lives in a tragic accident last night (24) when a cable-car collapsed at the Na Uyana Aranya Senasana in Melsiripura.
According to reports, 13 monks were travelling in the cable-car at the time of the incident. The collapse resulted in severe injuries to several monks, who were rushed to the Kurunegala Teaching Hospital for urgent medical treatment.
