Two bodies have been found inside an abandoned house under renovation in the Seenimodara area of Tangalle, prompting a major police investigation.
During a search of the premises, officers also discovered 10 packets suspected to contain Ice (crystal methamphetamine) concealed inside a lorry parked near the property.
Police confirmed that a third individual present at the scene suddenly fell ill and was admitted to the Tangalle General Hospital, where he later died while receiving treatment.
Investigations are currently underway, and the Government Analyst’s Department is conducting autopsies to determine the exact causes of death.
