The United National Party (UNP) is celebrating its 79th anniversary today with a special commemorative event. The ceremony is being held under the patronage of UNP leader and former President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Leaders and representatives of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), and other opposition parties have been invited to participate in the event.
This year’s anniversary is being marked under the theme: “Stand your ground, defeat constitutional dictatorship, let’s stand together.”
