Police have arrested a close associate of organized criminal Backo Saman, who is currently under detention and questioning, during a raid in the Embilipitiya area.
The arrest was made in Gangeyaya, Embilipitiya, where officers recovered a T81 firearm, 97 bullets, two magazines, and a military uniform from the suspect’s possession.
According to police, the arrest was carried out based on intelligence gathered during investigations by the Western Province North Crime Division.
