The Parliament of Sri Lanka is set to convene today (12) at 9.30 a.m., with a session that includes routine proceedings, oral questions, and condolence motions.
From 9.30 a.m. to 10.00 a.m., proceedings will be conducted under Standing Order 22, followed by one hour reserved for oral questions and a further half-hour for questions under Standing Order 27(2).
From 11.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., the House will dedicate its time to presenting condolence motions in honor of late former Members of Parliament Gamini Lokuge, P. Dayaratne, Indradasa Hettiarachchi, M.H. Segu Isadeen, and Wijayasundara Bandara Ranatunga.
The day’s proceedings will conclude with a debate on the Government’s adjournment motion, scheduled from 5.00 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.
