Dr. Palitha Rajapaksa of the Badulla Teaching Hospital has been summoned to the Public Service Commission (PSC) to provide evidence in connection with a disciplinary investigation.
The inquiry relates to a statement he previously made regarding the shortage of medicines at the hospital. Dr. Rajapaksa appeared before the PSC today (08) to present his testimony.
Notably, Dr. Rajapaksa was among the medical professionals who made extraordinary efforts to save the lives of the injured in the tragic bus accident on the Ella–Wellawaya road on September 4, which claimed 15 lives.
