Former Parliamentarian Nimal Lanza was granted bail by the Negombo High Court today.
Lanza was arrested after surrendering to the Kochchikade Police last week and remanded till September 12 by the Negombo Magistrate over alleged assault and unlawful entry during a protest in 2006.
The order was issued after considering a revision application filed challenging Negombo Magistrate’s court order to refuse bail
