The woman and child who were arrested in Indonesia alongside underworld figure Kehelbaddara Padme and several of his associates arrived in Sri Lanka this evening (29).
They landed at the Bandaranaike International Airport at around 5.50 p.m. on SriLankan Airlines flight UL-365 from Jakarta.
The pair had been detained in Jakarta following the arrest of Padme and his gang members during a joint operation between Sri Lankan and Indonesian authorities.
However, Indonesian officials decided to repatriate the woman as no serious criminal charges had been filed against her.
