Former Minister Harin Fernando appeared before the Badulla Magistrate’s Court today (August 26) in connection with an incident involving a heated exchange with police officers during the 2024 General Election.
The case stems from an altercation that reportedly took place in the Badulla District on November 11, 2024, during the election period.
Presiding Magistrate Nujith de Silva said that the case will be taken up again on January 6, 2026, adjourning today’s proceedings.
