Inspector General of Police (IGP) Priyantha Weerasooriya paid his first official visit to the Sri Lanka Air Force Headquarters on August 25, 2025, following his recent appointment as the head of the Police Department. During the visit, he met with Air Force Commander, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe.
Upon arrival at the Sri Jayawardenepura Air Force Base, the IGP was warmly received by the Commanding Officer, Air Commodore Buddhika Piyasiri. The Police Chief was also accorded a Guard of Honour by No. 43 Colour Wing.
