Fifty-one police inspectors have been promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) with immediate effect.
According to Police Media Spokesperson ASP F. U. Wootler, the promotions were granted to officers who excelled in the competitive examination. Nearly 2,000 police inspectors and chief police inspectors participated in the exam held in 2023.
Following the approval of the National Police Commission, the 51 officers who successfully passed the examination have officially assumed their new rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police.
The Police Department stated that the promotions recognize the dedication and performance of officers in maintaining law and order across the country.
