The Parliament of Sri Lanka is scheduled to meet today (22), with several key sessions on the agenda.
According to the parliamentary schedule, proceedings will begin at 9.30 a.m. with matters listed under Standing Order 22(1) to (6), followed by oral questions between 10.00 a.m. and 11.00 a.m. Questions raised under Standing Order 27(2) will then be addressed from 11.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.
From 11.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m., Parliament will conduct an adjournment debate based on a motion presented by the Opposition. This debate was arranged following a request made during the Committee on Parliamentary Business meeting held on July 24, 2025.
