A rally and a protest march were organized by a Sri Lankan collective in solidarity with the call for a free Palestine.
The event was held to oppose the ongoing oppression and violence directed at the Palestinian people. The organizers urged the public to “break the silence” and unite against genocide.
The Socialist Youth Union (SYU) took part in the demonstration, with several of its members in attendance. Representing the SYU, the Secretary for International Affairs, Anjana Sampath Amarasinghe, along with fellow comrades, actively joined the rally.
