A spokesperson for the Commission said that preparations are underway to submit a formal request to court next week, seeking an order to freeze and potentially seize Senaratne’s assets.
“Several attempts have been made in recent days to arrest the former minister at confirmed locations, but all efforts have been unsuccessful,” the official said. A court warrant has already been issued for his arrest.
Authorities are reportedly intensifying efforts to trace Senaratne’s whereabouts. The Commission said that if he continues to abscond, legal action—including property confiscation—will proceed without delay.
