According to official data, a total of 9,503 complaints were recorded from January to June 2025. These include 1,620 cases of serious child abuse and 373 cases of serious abuse against women.
The Bureau said that swift investigations are currently underway into the reported cases, with law enforcement prioritizing both victim protection and legal action.
Authorities attributed the rise in complaints to both increased awareness and reporting mechanisms, as well as a concerning persistence of abuse in homes and communities.
