A special train bound for Jaffna departed from Colombo Fort Railway Station this morning as part of the Clean Sri Lanka from the Heart to Jaffna program.
Organized by the Clean Sri Lanka Secretariat, the week-long initiative aims to raise awareness and encourage community participation in cleanliness and environmental conservation efforts in Jaffna.
The official launch took place under the patronage of S. P. C. Sugishwara, Head of the Clean Sri Lanka Secretariat, with the participation of officials from sponsoring organizations and the Department of Railways.
Following the inauguration, the special train set off from Colombo Fort towards Jaffna to commence the outreach program.
