Maharagama’s Indira Cancer Trust has resumed the collection of hair donations for the production of wigs for cancer patients. The initiative aims to provide free wigs to individuals who lose their hair as a side effect of cancer treatments.
Volunteers can contribute by donating their hair on the last Wednesday of each month at the Indira Cancer Trust premises.
The program is being conducted in collaboration with Ramani Salon, with both organizations recently signing a memorandum of understanding to strengthen their partnership in supporting cancer patients.
According to organizers, the wigs will be provided at no cost, offering patients both comfort and confidence during their treatment journey.
