The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the establishment of a Presidential Task Force to accelerate the implementation of Sri Lanka’s national tourism development program.
Chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism, the task force will guide strategic decisions aimed at rapid growth and sustainable development in the sector.
The proposal was submitted by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, with the objective of coordinating efforts across relevant ministries, institutions, and stakeholders to revitalize and streamline the tourism industry.
