Sajith Welcomes US Tariff Cut, Calls for Further Reductions

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa expressed satisfaction over the reduction of the US tariff rate on Sri Lankan goods to 20%.

However, he emphasized that to truly benefit Sri Lankan exporters, further negotiations are essential to bring the tariff rate down to 15%. He urged the government to engage in continued dialogue with US authorities to secure better trade terms for the country.
