A special session of Parliament has been scheduled for June 30, following a decision taken today
The session has been convened in accordance with Section 11 of the State Finance Management Act No. 44 of 2024, which requires the government to present its fiscal strategy statement on or before June 30 each year.
The decision to summon the House was made following a formal request by the Prime Minister, submitted under Standing Order 16 of Parliament. As a result, Parliament will meet at 9:30 a.m. on June 30, as announced by the Speaker.
