Minister Kumara Jayakody has dismissed rumors of an impending fuel shortage linked to the ongoing Middle East conflict, labeling them as false.
Speaking at a special media briefing held at the Government Information Department, the Minister assured the public that sufficient fuel stocks have been secured to meet the country’s needs through the end of August. He urged citizens not to engage in unnecessary stockpiling, emphasizing that there is no cause for concern.
