Medical laboratory technologist Mr. Ravi Kumudesh has been suspended from duty after stepping outside the institutional framework to contest in the upcoming general election.
The suspension, effective from October 10, 2024, was announced by the Ministry of Health and Mass Media.
According to the Ministry, Mr. Kumudesh will not receive any salary or allowances during the suspension period. Additionally, he has been barred from overseas travel until disciplinary proceedings are concluded.
