In response to ongoing heavy rainfall, the Polgolla Reservoir Engineering Office has announced the opening of three sluice gates to manage rising water levels and reduce the risk of flooding

Each sluice gate has been opened by 18 inches, a precautionary measure taken to ensure the safety of surrounding areas as water inflows into the reservoir increase. Officials emphasized that the controlled release of water is aimed at preventing potential flood conditions in downstream regions.

The Engineering Office continues to closely monitor weather patterns and water levels, urging residents in low-lying areas to remain alert and follow updates from local authorities.

More rainfall is forecast in the coming days, and further measures will be taken as necessary to ensure the integrity of the reservoir and the safety of nearby communities.
